Automate the flow from production

Callisto

Cross media publishing platform

From production PDF to any device

While the published edition is being made ready for print, the Callisto system can prepare all the other media channels.

Also available as service

The Callisto cross media publishing platform is also available as full service model alternative to setup this product as part of your publishing workflow installation. Visit the website of our sister company Graphicart eService for details.

Clipping

Whether you need to go to an RSS feed or to a flash e-paper, your content will be article-based. Elara Callisto now has built-in coordinate clipping. This means that the publishing front-end system may be able to supply Callisto with the whereabouts of an article on the page and which pictures belong to that article making automatic page-clipping simple.

For those publishers that cannot supply that information SoliDAM provides a service to do the clipping work for you. The Callisto System automatically sends the PDF pages to a SoliDAM server where human eyes and hands turn the pages into verified articles (already available in 5 different languages). The result is then sent to your Elara Callisto system, this uses the clipped data to generate output across all the channels you have configured, without any further intervention from your side.

Publish to any device

Callisto can create optimized output for all popular digital reading channels like e-Ink devices, iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets.

The ePaper workflow setup can also be used to automatically generate an afternoon edition built from the morning newspaper and the RSS feed from your website.

Web portal

Callisto can be used to setup a web portal to display content and supply an archive for your readers. The portal offers all the functionality needed such as payment interface, user login, search engine and article and page downloads. The portal can automatically generate full edition e-paper from just-created edition pages and it will generate article-PDF files on the fly.
