Page planning and progress monitoring

It all starts at the publisher. PDF, Postscript or TIFF pages arrive and need to be delivered to the correct printing site, at the same time a low resolution PDF file may need to go to many places. Elara does it all, it controls your planning, shows you how far you’ve got and what pages and editions you are still waiting for. Of course Elara ‘knows’ which pages go in which editions and shows that to you. It does all that's needed for newspaper production; Ripping, PDF conversion, annotation and more.

Managed transmission and plate room automation
Then the transmission starts, to your own printing facilities or those

outside. Sending data to multiple locations at the right time. Once

at the printers, Elara manages the creation of plates or film from incoming files, puts extra elements on the pages if required and controls quality. Elara interfaces to all major imagesetters, press control systems and punchbenders. Elara takes care that the right plates are there were they’re needed.

Management information
The whole process is closely monitored at all times. Email or SMS is sent whenever the system needs attention. Management information is available at all times.

Scalable
The Elara workflow platform can be installed on a single server or

clustered over more to achieve high availability and increase

computing power. Virtualization is also supported.
